Michael Brennan was born in the coastal town of Gloucester, MA, where he developed an aversion to both the ocean and seafood. He attended Massachusetts College of Art where he received his BFA with a concentration in Illustration.
In 1990, Michael started on the precursor to Electric Girl in the form of a comic strip. After rejections from all the major syndicates, he retooled the concept in his spare time and the first issue of the Electric Girl comic book was published in 1998.
Mike's work has received critical recognition since the publication of Electric Girl Volume 1, when he was nominated for an Eisner Award - one of the comic book industry's highest honors - in 2001.
